ABOUT sophie
I’ve always had an affinity with the written word, something that is very natural to me. I find writing almost meditative. I was one of those students who actually enjoyed essay writing and uncovering the hidden easter eggs in Shakespeare’s plays. So, it was no surprise that I went down the marketing and communications pathway, studying for a Bachelor of Communications at UTS and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Communications at Deakin University.
One of the best parts of working in marketing is the diversity. Over the past decade or so, I’ve experienced a dynamic career that spans radio, media, marketing – both traditional and digital, advertising – and brand building.
I’ve worked across a myriad of industries, including real estate, health and beauty, finance and hospitality, assisting clients with their marketing strategy, digital and social presence and content development.
When it comes down to it, I’m deeply passionate about storytelling and executing projects and campaigns that bring brands and businesses to life.
When I’m not typing away on my laptop or have my thinking cap on, you’ll most likely find me researching my next international adventure or renovation project, uncovering a new restaurant or cracking open a bottle of my favourite Chardonnay (an unpopular opinion, but the eighties style is back – big and buttery).
